Mir-1v lens history

Designed in the GOI in 1954 on the basis of the optical system Flektogon. At the World Exhibition in Brussels in 1958 a set of objectives, which included the Mir-1, was awarded the highest award - the "Grand Prix".
In 1959, the lens was awarded the Diploma of II degree USSR National Economy.
Same lenses still produce for a present time (more than 40 years of producing!!!) and a lot of photo-shooters still buy it. In the main, most all Soviet lenses are exceptionally good and this one is no exception! Letter "V" means that the lens was manufactured at Vologda town.
