Russian lenses - most of the world! Russian lenses are made of reliable and constructive metal realglass in the optical system. This gives a large margin. What we see on the secondary market.  Mir-1v lens history Designed in the GOI in 1954 on the basis of the optical system Flektogon. At the World Exhibition in Brussels in 1958 a set of objectives, which included the Mir-1, was awarded the highest award - the "Grand Prix". In 1959, the lens was awarded the Diploma of II degree USSR National Economy. Same lenses still produce for a present time (more than 40 years of producing!!!) and a lot of photo-shooters still buy it.
In the main, most all Soviet lenses are exceptionally good and this one is no exception!
